We’ve yet another product that has arrived here at Stock Displays and it’s the fantastic Booster Sign. The Booster Sign is constructed from a strong steel frame which means these signs are here to stay, furthermore the simple fold away mechanism makes night storage quick and easy.

These Booster Signs literally give any business a boost from the position they stand on the pavement. They incorporate a curved header panel for a permanent logo or promotional message.

We’ve had another new arrival here at Stock Displays and this week it comes in the form of menu light boxes. These menu light boxes are a fantastic way of showing off menus and other printed material.

Our illuminated menu boxes are lockable, waterproof and vandal resistant. The header panel can take a logo or another promotional message and the top LED lighting illuminates both the logo and the display area. The magnetic back panel means that menus can be easily positioned.

This week sees the launch of another new stock product range.  We are now stocking 25mm and 32mm Black Snap Frames as well as 25mm Round Corner Snap Frames.

Our Black Snap Frames are a fantastic looking powder coated frame at such a low price.  These black frames are available for immediate dispatch.  Our snap frames feature easy poster access with the snap open and close system and this profile is recommended for indoor use but may also be suitable for some outdoor applications. Our Round Corner Snap Frames are manufactured with round moulded chrome corners and feature a silver anodised frame finish as well as easy poster access with the snap open and close system, just like the black snap frames.  The chrome corners add that feel of a solid and robust snap frame that again is suitable for indoor and some outdoor locations. This week we’re featuring our suspended frames.  These frames are a unique space saving frame that can be found in many retailers windows throughout the world.  There are different types of suspended frames and we’ll be focusing on two this week, the suspended poster snap frame and the suspended slide-in frame.  These frames are suspended by wire from the ceilings which mean valuable wall and floor space can be saved for other means of advertising or product placement.  Let’s take a look at the different suspended frames available from us here at Stock Displays.

Suspended Poster Snap Frame

The suspended poster snap is a simple mechanism that simply snaps open to allow you to place your artwork in and then snaps shut to form a tight seal.  These snaps are attached at the top and bottom of the poster and then the top bar is attached to wire to suspend it from the ceiling.

Suspended Slide-In Frames

The slide-in suspended poster frame is manufactured from extruded aluminium with eyelets for ceiling suspension. The graphic which is suitable for a graphic up to 4mm in thickness. The slide-in suspended frame does a similar job to the suspended snap frame except the frame for the slide-in goes all the way around the graphic giving it a much more solid appearance like a picture frame. I think we’re all experiencing high winds here in the UK thanks to the aftermath of hurricane Katia and this will have an affect on your outdoor advertising.  Standard pavement signs will find it difficult to fight the winds but our robust waterbase sign is the perfect match for the high winds.

The waterbase sign is a pavement sign that has a large base that is required to be filled up with water, this provides a heavy foundation for the sign to sit on.  You can see an image of the base of a waterbase sign to the left.  The sign can be moved easily by the wheels on one end but the base is so heavy when filled up with water it makes for a great sign in high winds!  As you can also see from the image to the left, the sign itself is sat on two robust springs which makes the sign flexible in the winds too.

This week we’re featuring our lockable poster frames as our product of the week.  Different to any other sort of poster frame, these come in many different styles and the frames aren’t just for posters as these frames can house pin boards and magnetic boards too.  Lets take a look at the different styles of lockable poster frame we manufacture here at Stock Displays.

The Secure Lock Poster Frame

The Secure Lock Poster Frame is a high specification lockable poster frame.  Not only are they secure but they are waterproof and vandal resistant too.  We see many different uses for these lockable poster frames especially as they can be placed either indoors or outdoors too.  The versatility of these lockable poster frames means that they can be hung portrait or landscape which is a bonus for anybody who changes their posters often so they’re not restricted to keep their posters upright.  Another great feature with these lockable poster frames is that the door stays open for quick and simple poster changes.

Secure Lock Magnetic Frame & Secure Lock Pin Board Frame

The Secure Lock Magnetic Frame is a high specification lockable magnetic frame. They’re secure, waterproof and vandal resistant.  These frames are suitable for both internal and external use.  The great thing about these frames is that not only are they supplied with magnets but they are quick and easy to open and you can change content so quickly inside the frame.  Not like any other frame on the market these again can be built to any size and come in a range of colours.

The Secure Lock Pin Board frame is our highest specification lockable pin board. Secure and vandal resistant these frames can be hung portrait or landscape and include stays to hold the frame open whilst the notices are changed. Post Mounted Lockable Frames

Finally we’ll take a look at the robust, secure and solid post mounted lockable frames. These frames come in three different styles:

• Post Mounted Poster Frame

Each style is perfect for outdoor use and the frames come in a range of colours too. We commonly find that councils and golf course use these types of lockable frames as they’re very secure.

In this article we will be focusing on the pavement sign, the long standing advertising partner for many high street stores, cafes and garages.  There isn’t any need to define what a pavement sign is, as it is pretty self explanatory.  However, they do come in many different forms and that’s what we’ll be focusing on this week.

The A-Board

The A-Board is the most popular type of pavement sign and if you didn’t know already, they’re called A-Boards due to the way they stand (side profile shaped like an A).  A Boards are a fantastic way to display printed marketing material as they come in a wide range of sizes from A0 to A2 and they have the snap frame mechanism to securely keep the marketing material intact.  Take a look at the images below to see how the A Board works.

Swingers & The Waterbase

The swinger sign is another popular pavement sign as its lightweight structure means its quick and easy to move around and secure in place.  The advantage of the swinger sign is that the graphics can be printed either directly on to the metal sheet or onto vinyl which is then attached to the metal sheet.  This versatile pavement sign not only attracts attention through the graphics being displayed but also by the swinging of the sign in the wind.

We’ll finally touch upon the waterbase sign. A robust, solid and secure pavement sign. The name again is pretty self-explanatory with the base of this sign having to be filled up with water to create a solid foundation for the board to sit on. This month we’re going to feature a few of our most popular products and in this article we’re focusing on the snap frame. The snap frame is now the most popular form of marketing hardware used on the high street, taking over from the traditional poster frames. Let’s first identify what a snap frame actually is:

The snap open poster frame system of the snap frame is brilliantly easy to use. Each side of the snap frames ‘snap’ open and close allowing for a quick poster change. They are manufactured from extruded aluminium and available in a range of anodised, powder coated and wood grain finishes. They are suitable for internal and external use.

Why is the snap frame at the forefront of marketing a businesses product or brand?

Snap frames have rapidly taken over from the traditional wooden frames in retail establishments, public houses and leisure venues throughout the UK for a number of reasons, which include:

1. Efficiency – Snap frames are quick and easy to change the material in them. They are front opening and snap open and shut in the matter of seconds. Whereas, old traditional frames have to be removed from the wall, opened in the back and this is a lengthy process.
2. Secure – Snap frames come in different forms, one being the lockable or tamper proof snap frame. This stops any wandering hands trying open the frame and get to the poster.
3. Safe – Posters are protected with a clear plastic sheet and not glass. The old traditional styles will usually have a glass frontage and this brings a health and safety issue.

Summer is the time for new campaigns to be introduced thoughout the world never mind just the UK. Whether its a new summer fragrance, new summer clothing line or just a simple summer promotion, it pays to keep on top of the seasons and promote your product or service with some familiarity of what season (and the weather is going to be like outside).

We have a good understanding here at Stock Displays of the buying patterns of our customers. Why summer brings us out in the masses?

Here in the UK we always get a mixed summer, a little bit of sunshine and more rain than we always want. However, the summer increases footfall throughout our high streets as people take time off work and children are on school holidays. This is why it pays to take full advantage of the increased number of people walking down the high street with the use of pavement signs, snap frames and light boxes.

Try a wooden chalkboard for ever-changing advertising

A pavement sign is a great addition to any small business as it makes the customer aware of what the business is selling from the street. An even better method of attracting customers in from the street is a chalkboard. We find that these are popular with cafés and coffee shops as daily specials can easily be advertised and changed quite quickly.

Swinging signs to attract the public

Another top seller in the summer here at Stock Displays is the swinger sign. The swinger sign allows you to display graphics on either side to face the passing public. These are usually found on the high street outside hair dressers or outside newsagents. These type of signs aren’t as versatile in terms of changing the content being displayed but the type of graphics that are displayed are usually permanent anyway.

With the summer here it can get a little windy so the swinger sign will do exatcly what it’s name says and swing in the wind. This will get attention from the passing public and is another great alternative to the standard pavement sign.

Light up and attract attention

The outdoor light box, perfect for attracting the public from the high street on an evening. With it being summer, more people than usual will be out on the street and with the outdoor light box being popular for restaurants displaying menus it is a great addition to any business.

Not only are light boxes great for displaying literature but the literature is securely locked away, so nobody can tamper with anything. The material can be quickly changed, so having up to date marketing material or menus is a good way to keep on top of attracting people.
